Opened in 2016, Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou was the first school to be established in China by Wycombe Abbey Schools International.

Located in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, close to the beautiful West Taihu Lake, Wycombe Abbey School Changzhou covers an area of 25 acres and has state-of-the-art facilities. It also has its own rowing center and inflatable air dome sports stadium.



This thriving co-educational day and boarding school offers internationalised education from Kindergarten to Year 13 for Chinese and international students aged from 3 to 18, now with more than 1200 pupils. 


The school teaches the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and A-level (General Certificate of Education Advanced Level) curricula. IGCSEs and A-Levels are the most widely recognised examinations in the world and offer entry to all overseas universities.


Building on a firm foundation of academic excellence, we focus on developing students' all-round character and confidence through a truly holistic educational approach. The school curriculum provides students with very varied and challenging learning experiences. Rowing, rugby, fencing and hockey are among the sports on offer. The campus has a 400-meter outdoor running track, multiple floodlit tennis courts, an indoor sports fields, a water sports centre and swimming pools. The students have endless opportunities for participating and performing in sport, music and drama.


We offer our pupils 16 subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, Economics, Art, Music and Drama, as well as over 40 high quality extra-curricular activities, thereby preparing our pupils to enter leading universities allaround the world, such as Cambridge, Imperial College, LSE, UCL, and New York University. Many of our graduates have gone on to study at the world's leading universities, enroute to becoming the responsible and ambitious young leaders of tomorrow.
